CENTRAL SECTION ANNUAL SHRIMP FEAST AND TRAINING

10/22/25 - Central Section Annual Shrimp Feast and Training, Glen Burnie, MD

in fellow members for a 3.5 hour operator non-process class for All Operators on Basic Motor and Pump Maintenance followed by our annual shrimp feast and lunch.  The session will be held at the Glen Burnie Volunteer Fire Company Lodge in Glen Burnie, MD.  The registration fee for WWOA members is $35.00 for the training, morning refreshments and shrimp feast/lunch - what a bargain!!  The non-member fee is $60.00 and includes a one-year WWOA membership.  Class Information:

  

Basic Motor and Pump Maintenance (TRE#7847-24-07 – 3.5 hours, Non-Process)

Instructor:  Bob Andrews, Hills Industrial 

Students will learn:

· How to read a motor nameplate

· Motor storage recommendations

· Basic systems considerations for motor/pump selections

· Proper basic installation requirements

· Startup and baseline information gathering

· Preventive, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance

· Relubrication of bearings

· Inspection and testing at prescribed intervals

· Motor storage tips and recommendations

7:30am – 8:00am: Registration (coffee, juice, donuts)

8:00am – 12:00pm: Technical Session (includes break)

12:00pm – 2:00pm: Shrimp Feast and Lunch (included in registration fee)

2:00pm: Issue Class Certificates – Adjourn
